Dr. Friedman was born in Brooklyn and later moved to Woodmere, New York. She attended Queens College where she majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. She was awarded a deans merit scholarship to attend New York University College of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Friedman went on to complete a general practice residency at New York Hospital Queens followed by a three year residency, specializing in Orthodontics, at the University of Maryland. During her residency she conducted research on pediatric craniofacial development and abnormalities and earned her Masters of Science. Dr. Friedman has received multiple honors and awards including the distinction of being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Dr. Friedman is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association and their component societies. Dr. Friedman and her husband David live in Pikesville, Maryland with their new born baby girl Emma. She enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
